A little more about JumpStart:
"JumpStart®, an award-winning brand from Knowledge Adventure®, has set the standard in kid’s educational software for over 15 years. Today, the JumpStart experience is more engaging, interactive and fun than ever! In 2009, we introduced JumpStart.com, an online adventure where 3-10 year old kids master the skills needed to succeed in school and in life through exploration, discovery and learning. By blending interactive adventures and award-winning learning games into a safe, customizable online world, JumpStart inspires minds and JumpStarts self-confidence… the fun way."
My 4 year old had a blast navigating through the games and riding along on educational adventures. I am pretty strict with what I let me kids play on and watch. I felt completely at ease letting him explore through the kid friendly Jump Start website. The first time he tried it out, my husband and him literally sat and played for a long time (hubby enjoyed playing too!). First he was able to create an online character and could pick and choose his clothes, shoes, physical features, etc. His name is " Nick Volcano Dragon" He had a blast playing in Adventure Land, and zooming through the sky like a space man learning about letters, numbers and sounds. Buggy Racer is also a favorite of his, he liked speeding around the corners and collecting points. What's nice about Jump Start is you can pick and choose the level your child is on. We started off on level 1 and easy, just to get his feet wet. After a couple games he was able to move up. Nicholas really liked earning coins and points when he finished the different games. I found it really easy to use and navigate through, with lot's of help buttons and options. We look forward to exploring Jump Start more over the next couple of months :)
